Biomechanics Course with Mini-implants

With this course, the Dental Surgeon will be empowered to confidently plan and execute the installation of mini-implants using the inter-radicular, extra-radicular, and palatal techniques, as well as various biomechanical strategies for successful skeletal anchorage.

Course Details

  1. Review the anatomy of the regions where mini-implants will be installed.
  2. Enable students to perform treatments using a foraminal locator for correct and safe electronic odontometry;

  • Review of Types of Mini-implants: Size, Technique, Type of Thread, Accurate Location of Mini-implants;
  • Palpation of Regions to Receive Mini-implants;
  • Inter-root Technique;
  • Infrazygomatic Crest Technique – IZC;
  • Training and Application on Mannequins.

  • Buccal Shelf;
  • Palate;
  • Training on Mannequins; Treatment of Impacted Canines with Mini-implants;
  • Aligners and Mini-implants

At the end of the training, participants are entitled to a Training Certificate in accordance with Regulatory Decree No. 35/2002, as well as certification recognised and issued by SIGO, a governmental entity, as stipulated in Decree-Law No. 14/2017, of 26 January.

Our training, and consequently our certificates, also comply with the requirements of the Labour Code, Law No. 93/2019, of 4 September, which establishes the obligation for continuous training in companies, stipulating a minimum duration of 40 hours annually per worker.
