Course Details

To enable the student to perform Orofacial Harmonisation procedures with high technical mastery, solid scientific foundation, clinical safety, and a personalised aesthetic approach, aligned with the best international practices.

Upon completing the course, the student will be able to:

Knowledge and Scientific Foundation

  • Master detailed facial anatomy (vascular, neurological, and lymphatic).
  • Understand pharmacology, properties, and indications of neuromodulators, fillers, and biostimulators.
  • Integrate recent scientific evidence and international guidelines into practice.

Clinical Planning and Assessment

  • Perform detailed facial assessment and define functional aesthetic goals.
  • Develop personalised, safe, and effective treatment plans.
  • Select techniques and products appropriate for each clinical case.

Technical Execution

  • Apply advanced injection techniques in different facial areas.
  • Perform biostimulation procedures, mesotherapy, and use of complementary technologies (HIFU).
  • Integrate combined therapies to optimise results.

Safety and Complication Management

  • Recognise early complications and apply intervention protocols.
  • Prevent complications through anatomical planning and proper technique.
  • Manage medical emergencies related to aesthetic practice.

Evaluation and Certification Rules of the Course:

EVALUATION:
All trainees attending this course will be subject to the following types of evaluation, in accordance with the MQAF — Manual of Quality of Training Activity, approved by DGERT, the state body that recognised TMCS.LDA as a duly certified Training Entity.

Initial/Diagnostic Evaluation: will be carried out through curriculum analysis and an interview with the trainee, prior to the start of the course.

Intermediate/Module Evaluation: will consist, at the end of each module, of two evaluation processes:

  • Qualitative Evaluation of the training provided, in the form of feedback sheets to be completed by both trainees and the trainer.

  • Quantitative Evaluation of the trainees’ learning, in the form of a test or practical exercise, with an individual grade assigned (on a scale of 0–20).

Final Course Evaluation: will consist of the summative evaluation of all modules, also taking into account each trainee’s attendance, resulting in a final individual grade (on a scale of 0–20), which will be recorded on the certificate issued by SIGO and by Dental School, TMCS.LDA.

CERTIFICATION:
At the end of the training, trainees are entitled to a Training Certificate, in accordance with Regulatory Decree no. 35/2002, as well as certification recognised and issued by SIGO, a governmental entity, under the terms of Decree-Law no. 14/2017, of 26 January.
